Yes, we are real AND legal.
Oumi Cannabis Thailand is Thailand’s first cannabis cafe serving farm fresh food, coffee, juice, and cannabis daily. It's a creative venture that started over three years ago with the idea to curate a more enjoyable and social alternative to stopping by a dispensary. We’re beyond proud to finally share our concept with the world. Everything was made possible by the government and their vision for creating experiences and destinations that are welcoming for cannabis consumers. We’re grateful for the government and their continued support with developing the cafe. The Thai government granted cannabis licenses and is working with other entities on all legal logistics. We applied and were granted a license first out of over 300+ applicants, making our Cannabis Cafe one of the first business in Thailand to be granted a fully legal cannabis consumption license. Thanks to the city’s hard work, we’re able to focus on the cafe’s experience and are excited to become part of the Cannabis community. We hope that through this revolutionary and trailblazing journey, Oumi Cannabis Cafe both honors and embodies this great country’s pioneering spirit for many years to come.

When are reservations available?

New availability for reservations go online at 8am everyday. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. 

Is there an age requirement?

All guests must be 21+ with a valid form of Government issued ID to visit Cannabis Cafe. Unfortunately, even if you have a medical card, the country does not allow us to admit anyone under the age of 21 onto our premises.

A valid government issued photo I.D., such as a state-issued driver’s license or passport will be required upon your arrival to the cafe (the same requirements are needed upon visiting any dispensary.) 

Guests visiting from outside Thailand must present a valid passport. No other forms of identification will be accepted.

Expired forms of identification will not be accepted. Cash/card is required for all cannabis purchases. Debit and credit cards will be accepted for food and drink orders at the cafe.

What if I have a medical card?

Our license is for adult-use only, meaning all guests must be 21+ with a valid form of Government ID to visit Cannabis Cafe. Medical cards are not accepted. 

What if I'm visiting from outside Thailand?

Just bring a valid passport and you’re good to go!

Unfortunately we cannot accept any other form of identification when visiting from outside Thailand. Photos, scans or expired forms of identification will not be accepted.

Is Oumi Cannabis Thailand a dispensary?

Oumi Cannabis Thailand is not a traditional dispensary– we are a fresh concept blending a cafe and dispensary. 

What products will you offer?

Our Cafe offers its guests a range of high-quality cannabis flowers, vapes, pre-packaged edibles, concentrates and extracts.

What's the difference between THC and CBD?

THC is the cannabinoid (aka the compound) in cannabis mainly responsible for the legendary “psychedelic high” experienced when consumed. CBD, on the other hand, is like THC’s more “reasonable” counterpart. One of several non-psychoactive cannabinoids, CBD provides numerous medicinal benefits such as pain relief, anti-inflammation and anti-anxiety, without ever compromising the consumer’s mental clarity and joie de vivre. 

What are the effects and duration?

The sensations from cannabis are extremely broad and completely subjective. A person’s high can depend on a variety of factors; the quantity and type of product consumed, a strain’s genetic properties, its terpene profile, social and environmental circumstances, etc. Some of the most common effects from cannabis use include but aren’t limited to: euphoria, enhanced mood and creativity, soothing pain relief and powerful sedation. Again, these sensations may depend on the consumer and the specific cannabis consumed.

Smoking and/or vaping cannabis allows THC to reach the brain directly, thus providing an immediate emergence of the aforementioned effects. The duration of a high from smoking may span anywhere from 20 minutes to several hours, depending on the consumer’s tolerance level and prior experience. 

Ingesting cannabis (such as edibles) is entirely different from other forms of consumption and may take up to 1-3 hours for the high to fully kick in. In this case, the onset time is delayed because the THC must first pass through the stomach and then the liver, where it's metabolized. This process converts THC to 11-hydroxy-THC creating a more intense high than from smoking the herb. These effects can last anywhere from 3-6+ hours depending on the individual’s tolerance, experience, biological chemistry and metabolism. 

Am I allowed to take pictures inside?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it! We invite all of our guests to document and share their experience at our Cafe. Don’t forget to tag us on Instagram @oumiorganiccafe #cannabiscafe

Are you pet-friendly?

We love animals, but due to health code we don’t allow our furry friends to hang at our cafe; unless it’s a certified service animal. Thai law allows persons with disabilities to bring trained service dogs and psychiatric service dogs, but not emotional support animals, to all public places.
